M Nettek International Inc.’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Manfred Nettek has over 30 years experience in Product Development, Manhole Restoration, and Energy Saving Products. Mr. Nettek founded MNI in 1996 with the goal to develop and market highly innovative green products worldwide. As a common denominator, all products and services offered under the MNI umbrella are environmentally friendly solutions thus keeping the future in mind.
Mr. Nettek began his career in 1976 in the Hotel Management Business in Europe. In 1982, he changed careers and decided to explore the Precious Metal Business. Over the course of 11 years he did business around the world and became an entrepreneur. In 1993, Mr. Nettek returned to Europe and started exploring alternative business ideas with diversification in mind. Together with his father, Mr. Manfred Nettek, Sen., he set out to modernize the Manhole Restoration Process in Austria. This resulted in the creation of GSSD GmbH, an Austrian Limited Liability Company, in early 1996. Subsequently MNI Inc. was founded in the US that year and GSSD was integrated into MNI Inc.
In 1997, the first prototype of the Global Horizontal Cutting Machine was build and tested over a one year period in the field. The GHCM, a brainchild of Mr. Nettek’s fathers, proved to be an absolute winner and changed the restoration of manholes and covers forever.
Mr. Nettek remarried in 1996 and moved permanently to the United States in late 1997. In 1996 he and his wife, Gabriele, created the Environmental Foundation “Heernett”. This nonprofit landownership group has used private and public funds to purchase about 800 acres to preserve and restore the native landscape of Cozy Valley and its surrounding hillsides in Washington State. The Heernett foundation has now been established for over 10 years and is still growing.
Furthermore, Mr. Nettek serves among other functions as Chairman of the Board of the Heernett Environmental Foundation and as President/CEO of Ashanti Farm Inc., a corporation dedicated to the Classical Art of Dressage.
Mr. Nettek holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from the Salzburger Hotelfachschule (Hotel Management School) Bad-Hofgastein, Austria (1976) and a License from the Austrian Hotel and Restaurant Department (1981). He has two daughters from his first marriage, who live in Austria and lots of animals with his wife, Gabriele.
